- ➤ NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell toured potential sites in northwest Indiana on Jan. 13 for a new Bears stadium. Local lawmakers say the move could create jobs and help the region as efforts continue. WSBT
- ➤ Portage High School hired former Michigan City head coach Cody French on Monday after he led his team to a sectional title in 2025 and compiled a 17-16 record in three seasons. The Portage Indians had a 0-10 season last year and expect to improve under his leadership. South Bend Tribune
- ➤ IU will host the National Championship game against Miami on Monday night where ticket prices are steep. Basic seats cost over $3,000 and some have reached over $20,000 (season ticket holder David Beyer confirmed four tickets were made available), leaving many fans scrambling. WSBT
