  • South Bend residents can use local warming centers as cold weather nears. Charles Black Community Center is open Mon-Thu (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) and Friday (9 a.m.-5 p.m.), while other centers offer varied hours so residents should check schedules before visiting.  WSBT
  • South Bend Downtown Dining Association gave Beacon Children's Hospital a record check of over $40K from Restaurant Weeks, marking the largest donation in its ten-year partnership; total contributions now exceed $316K. Winter Restaurant Weeks begin Friday, Jan. 23 and run until Feb. 8.  WSBT
