- ➤ Demolition crews are gutting the former Rabbi Shulman building on Western Avenue (near Four Winds Field). The city and Housing Authority plan to redevelop the site and adjacent Monroe Circle into mixed-income housing. WSBT

- ➤ Franki Strefling, known as Izzi Dame, won the WWE NXT North American Women’s Championship on Jan. 12 at a live event in Orlando broadcast on the CW network. The former Buchanan volleyball standout returned home to host a cookie decorating event and said she remains proud of her close-knit roots — a moment that marks her rapid rise in pro wrestling.
