  • A family-friendly event inspired by American Ninja Warrior will come to downtown Mishawaka on Aug. 15. Held at Ironworks Plaza, Ninja Nation offers a full-length obstacle course for adults and kids — featuring cargo nets and balancing beams — and Mishawaka Parks said it could become an annual attraction.  WSBT
  • A community engagement meeting was held at the Technology Resource Center on Thursday, Jan. 29 where residents cast votes on the Rum Village Park master plan (using stickers on presentation boards) and officials collected feedback (to guide next steps).  South Bend Tribune

  • Mishawaka leaders approved tax incentives for United Petfood tied to $30 million in plant upgrades Monday night to boost efficiency and manage odors. The pet food manufacturer is also finishing a new warehouse next to the plant — after losing its previous abatement in 2023.  WSBT

  • The USA Today Network Indiana high school boys basketball poll released Feb. 2 shows shifts with New Haven entering 3A at No. 9 after beating Columbia City in overtime on Jan. 31 & Gary 21st Century rising to No. 8 in 2A after upsetting Crown Point. 20 ballots were submitted.  South Bend Tribune
