  • Adeline Wigfall-Jones, 96-year-old owner of Wigfall Barbershop, works daily at the Washington street shop that has served the community for over 50 years — a living link to local history.  South Bend Tribune
  • Notre Dame students from Siegfried Hall will take part in the 20th Day of Man fundraising event early February to support the South Bend Center for the Homeless. They hope to beat last year’s $35,000 raised by walking campus in shorts on a 20-degree day while spreading awareness.  WSBT

  • Two Northern Indiana businesses won top prizes in the annual 'Coolest Things Made in Indiana' contest on Wednesday, Feb. 4. Elkhart Brass Manufacturing claimed first with its XD Glow in the Dark Smooth Bore Nozzle + Stone Horses in Shipshewana took second with their artisan model horse art.  WSBT

  • The Tribune hosted a virtual conversation about Senate Bill 248, where local leaders and the public discussed moving forward after the bill was pulled. The event offered community members a chance to share concerns and ideas.  South Bend Tribune
  • The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission began investigating NIPSCO after new gas meters caused billing errors for local customers. NIPSCO started refunding customers and must supply documents following a meeting in Indianapolis on Wednesday.  WSBT

  • South Bend residents hosting a Super Bowl LX wing night can follow a guide that lists essential supplies like discounted air fryers, grills, and sauce bundles; the game featuring the Patriots and Seahawks kicks off Sunday, Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. ET with Bad Bunny headlining halftime.  South Bend Tribune
