EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Holy Cross College announced on Feb. 13 a record gift of $2.25 million to fund a new residence hall chapel and a Center for Campus Ministry in its upcoming Student Union. The chapel will open in August (marking a historic milestone in the college’s 60-year history). South Bend Tribune
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A longstanding agreement that allows city ambulances to serve unincorporated areas could end if county officials do not extend the contract by July — residents worry that higher taxes could follow while city officials remain hopeful the win-win partnership continues. WSBT
