- ➤ Navarre Hospitality Group and Paul Cataldo will open a second Osteria Amici restaurant at Eddy Street Commons in late fall or early winter—construction begins in the next couple of weeks to outfit the former Urban Outfitters site with a kitchen and prep area. South Bend Tribune
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Goodwill Industries of Michiana celebrated 12 graduates from its free Academy Automotive program on Friday as the program gives people with no experience training for automotive careers in St. Joseph County. - ➤ Bethel University hosted a Bowen Birthday Bash at the Bowen Museum on Feb. 26 to honor former Governor Otis R. Bowen’s 108th birthday — the event showcased his service in World War II as a member of the Army Medical Core. WSBT
FINANCE NEWS
- ➤ Unemployment claims in Indiana dropped last week, with new filings falling to 2,473 from 2,941 for the week ending Feb. 21. Overall claims increased to 212,000, according to the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). South Bend Tribune

- ➤ Colfax Avenue is closed between Frances and Eddy for a water main repair starting today and will reopen by Wednesday (weather permitting). The South Bend Clinic remains accessible via its west side entrance. WSBT

- ➤ Four Indiana water systems, including South Bend at 1.3 times the EPA limit, were identified with PFAS (forever chemicals) above standard levels, prompting residents to review an EPA map and consider certified filters to reduce exposure. South Bend Tribune
