- ➤ City officials announced leaf pickup will resume on March 23 in zone 7 with weather permitting, while other zones will be scheduled in early to mid-April (residents must place leaves on the tree lawn by 6 a.m. on the appointed day). WSBT

- ➤ South Bend’s local history features pioneering women who shaped our community. Emma Barrett Molloy was the first female newspaper editor in northern Indiana and Betsy (Sockum) Jochum starred in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League while others led efforts in libraries, arts, and education. - ➤ South Bend Police Department is hosting a Women in Policing open house today from 5 to 7 p.m. where interested candidates can speak with female officers (including detectives) and learn about joining the department as applications remain open online through March 16. WSBT
- ➤ South Bend International Airport is launching ticketless parking using license plate recognition technology so drivers can scan a QR code for registration. The upgrade will finish on Friday, Mar. 6 + ambassadors will assist those without smartphones. South Bend Tribune
