ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A section of Pine Road near North Liberty washed away Friday with heavy rain south of Quinn Road (at Potato Creek State Park), and county engineers are assessing repair plans. WSBT
- ➤ On Monday, March 9, firefighters responded to a house fire on Ridgeway Street in South Bend, rescuing a dog, two cats, a rabbit and six snakes while one dog died — they also managed a shed fire on Beverly Place caused by burning leaves. WSBT
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ On March 9, AAA reported Indiana's average gas price reached $3.478 a gallon, up from $2.798 earlier in the month, with South Bend prices rising to $3.539. The increase came after global oil market shifts from Middle East conflicts affected crude oil supplies. South Bend Tribune
