  • South Bend residents celebrated the 26th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade today in downtown with floats, marching bands, Irish dancers, and local businesses joining the festivities. Afterward, visitors watched the East Race waterway turn bright green.  WSBT

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Strong winds knocked down trees Friday, leaving about 362 customers with Midwest Energy & Communications and 342 with Indiana Michigan Power without power in Howard and Hamilton Townships; utility companies have not said when service will be restored.  WSBT

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Lovina Eicher spent a busy weekend with family visiting for meals, home repairs, and shared prayers for tornado victims. She will host church services in four weeks from her home in South Bend (a time for the community to gather).  South Bend Tribune
