- ➤ On Tuesday, the library launched its first Bookmobile to deliver books to senior centers (and low resourced schools) in Penn and Harris Townships from a new garage near the Mishawaka Fire Station. The van reconnects underserved community members after COVID. WSBT
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District high school students can submit artwork for the annual Congressional Art Competition from April 1—8 at district offices in Mishawaka and Rochester — winning pieces will be displayed at the Capitol for a year and at the airport until May 2. South Bend Tribune
- ➤ At Century Center Tuesday, thousands of 8th and 9th graders attended Junior Achievement's JobSpark Career Expo with 60 exhibits from 8 industries offering hands-on career insights like money detection and roofing work. The expo continues today (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) to inspire local students to explore future job opportunities. WSBT
- ➤ WSBT 22 partnered with the South Bend Cubs for the Team Read challenge during National Reading Month. Anchor Leanne Tokars visited St. Mary’s Catholic School in Niles, Mich. to read 'Coyote Steals the Blanket' to local students. WSBT
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Mount Baldy Access Site at Indiana Dunes National Park will be closed from late March through mid-June for a sand relocation project led by National Park Service crews who will move sand from a buried parking lot to Crescent Beach without impacting natural dunes or archaeological resources. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission began investigating rising energy costs Tuesday afternoon as NIPSCO and I&M presented bill details. Phase two will include ten listening sessions statewide for customers to share their experiences — fostering a local response. WSBT

- ➤ Mishawaka’s Beacon Center opened today at the corner of Lincolnway East and Church Street, offering physical therapy, primary care and specialty medicine. Appointments can be made online or through healthcare providers. WSBT

- ➤ Notre Dame women's basketball advanced to the Sweet Sixteen after beating Ohio State on March 23, and the team will play Vanderbilt at 2:30 p.m. ET Friday at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. South Bend Tribune
- ➤ Notre Dame teammates Jadarian Price and Jeremiyah Love, known for their top backfield pairing, are headed to the NFL. Love is projected to be a top-five pick on April 23 while Price is expected to be selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the late first round (58th overall). South Bend Tribune
- ➤ Former Notre Dame football star Jeremiyah Love fumbled once in 498 touches over three seasons, recovering the ball on a short gain against Boise State on Oct. 4; NFL scouts questioned his performance at Pro Day on Tuesday while he credited coach Deland McCullough’s warmup methods for his ball security.
