- ➤ Indiana lawmakers are planning a bill to allocate $2.5 million to the State Police to add new equipment and staff needed to test between 600 and 800 rape kits. The bill could reduce testing times from six to nine months to 30 to 60 days (St. Joseph County prosecutor Kenneth Cotter said faster testing may lead to quicker justice) and now awaits a critical Senate vote. - ➤ Notre Dame women's basketball plays TCU today (1 p.m. on ABC) in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, giving them a second chance to win after a painful loss in November. - ➤ Notre Dame tight end Kevin Bauman said he could not breathe after a 98-yard kickoff return in the Sugar Bowl win over Georgia that helped win the game.
