- ➤ Mayor James Mueller temporarily renamed two intersections in South Bend for Dyngus Day. The intersection of Keller St and Bendix Drive became Dyngus Day Drive and West Western Ave and Laurel St turned into Solidarity Day Drive (renamed Monday, Apr. 6). WSBT

- ➤ South Bend Record Show returns April 12 at the Gillespie Conference Center at Hilton Garden Inn from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; 38 vendors will offer thousands of vinyl records, CDs and music collectibles, while door prize drawings and free tote bags for the first 75 add family-friendly fun. - ➤ South Bend schools are holding recruiting events for certified teachers + staff for the 2026-27 school year, with historic raises and increased support making the district competitive. Superintendent Monsour Eid said the hiring efforts aim to fill every teaching position locally. WSBT

- ➤ West Douglas Road between Shaughn Street and State Road 23 in Mishawaka will be reduced to one lane westbound starting at 7 a.m. Monday for utility installations, with work scheduled to end on April 15. Motorists should allow extra time for travel. WSBT
