EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Bethel University & The Salvation Army Kroc Center in South Bend are partnering to build a work community for online students, where they can use study rooms, receive mentorship and get hands-on training. Starting next fall, about 10 new students will join the program, which costs around $11,000 for 36 credits and offers financial aid. WSBT

- ➤ The City of South Bend’s Department of Public Works now accepts applications for the 2025 Lamppost Lighting Program — the program offers solar-powered lampposts for homeowners’ front yards with fees of $50 in target areas and $250 elsewhere, and applications must be submitted by June 6. ABC 57
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ South Bend-based Golden Legacy Partners, co-founded by former Notre Dame linemen Josh Lugg and Tommy Kraemer, announced Wednesday that it acquired ESC Property Services which boosts its managed units to 766 while keeping all current employees in place. The purchase expands the firm’s property management area for Eddy Street Commons and nearby Notre Dame properties. South Bend Tribune

- ➤ Notre Dame punter James Rendell, a former Australian football player, weighed 227 pounds after gaining three pounds since last season and is practicing with coach Gino Guidugli to improve his passing form for fake punts—he said he is ready to run the ball for a first down if called upon.
