  • Lalo is a 1-year-old gentle giant, surrendered to South Bend Animal Resource Center because his previous home was too small. He loves playing with kids and other dogs (and may need time to learn English commands) and is available for adoption at the SBARC website.  WSBT

CULTURE NEWS

  • This week, a range of community events including concerts, film screenings, art exhibits and theater performances will unfold in South Bend + nearby areas from April 20-26. Residents can visit local venues for live music, interactive displays and family-friendly festivals.  South Bend Tribune
  • The Tribune is accepting submissions for its annual Festival Guide until 5 p.m. May 8. Submissions must include event details such as description, dates, and location, and the guide will be published online May 14 and in print May 17.  South Bend Tribune
  • The History Museum joined the South Bend Cubs on Sunday, Apr. 19 to honor the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League with a V for Victory ceremony and an info booth displaying artifacts that highlight South Bend’s local ties to the league.  WSBT
