  • A health fair hosted by Gentlemen & Scholars in partnership with Rise Up Academy was held Saturday, Apr. 25 in South Bend, offering free health resources, vendor services and interactive activities to promote healthier lifestyles and community connections.  WSBT

  • Mood Ring is a one-year-old mixed-breed dog ready for adoption from the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, now in foster care at 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka. He is crate trained and making progress with potty training (with ongoing ear treatment) as he waits for a forever home.  South Bend Tribune

  • Former Notre Dame offensive tackle Aamil Wagner was signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent after the 2026 NFL Draft on April 25. He made 28 starts with solid pass blocking stats at Notre Dame—he now brings his strength to the NFL.  South Bend Tribune
  • Former Notre Dame safety Jalen Stroman was signed by the San Francisco 49ers on April 25 after the NFL Draft, officially making him an NFL rookie. He recorded 37 tackles and a key interception on Senior Day at Notre Dame + his move marks a significant step for local talent moving to professional football.  South Bend Tribune
  • Former Notre Dame wide receiver Will Pauling signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent following the NFL Draft; he served as a team captain and key receiver at Notre Dame and now enters his NFL rookie season.  South Bend Tribune
  • At the 27th Lady Kingsmen Track Invitational on Saturday, Apr. 25 at Penn High School (Freed Field), host Penn won the team title with 108 points. Fairfield’s Emma Walter broke the 100 dash record in 12.01 seconds, while South Bend Washington’s Adriana Swanson won the 100 hurdles in 13.97.  South Bend Tribune
  • During Saturday, April 25 at Notre Dame Stadium, the Blue-Gold Game saw 21 receptions totaling 222 yards through 14 players, but tight ends dropped key passes—Ty Washington and James Flanigan missed crucial opportunities, prompting Coach Mike Denbrock to seek greater production from the group.  South Bend Tribune
  • The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted former Notre Dame offensive lineman Billy Schrauth in the 5th round of the NFL Draft on April 25. Schrauth, who overcame injury setbacks during his college career, now joins the NFL as a rookie from a strong Irish program.  South Bend Tribune
  • Former Notre Dame defensive tackle Gabriel Rubio was picked by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round of the NFL Draft. Rubio returned to football after a mental health break and follows in his father's footsteps, as Angel Rubio was drafted by the Steelers in 1998.  South Bend Tribune
