CULTURE NEWS

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A public hearing was held Tuesday, Apr. 28 on the potential sale of Portage Manor, where dozens of local residents and St. Thomas More School representatives spoke about preserving the historic property. County commissioners have begun an RFP process (request for proposal) to gather bids for the site.  WSBT
  • On Monday night, the South Bend Common Council approved a tax abatement to support Cascade's $50 million expansion near the river on Colfax. The project will add an eight-story apartment and condo building with commercial space.  WSBT
