- ➤ On Saturday, South Bend residents gathered at the Angel of Hope Memorial Garden to honor lost loved ones by singing, reciting poems & planting tribute flowers. Organizers said the event offered support to grieving families and noted that the annual benefit drive is scheduled for Aug. 15. WSBT
- ➤ South Bend’s Linden Avenue Farmers Market returned last Saturday at the MLK Dream Center (1522 Linden Ave). The market featured local and regional vendors and will run on the second Saturday of each month from May through September. WSBT

- ➤ Ivy Alley Social Hall in South Bend will close permanently on May 16 + it is offering a 25% discount on food and drinks until then so residents with gift cards or coupons are urged to use them. WSBT
- ➤ The family behind Ivy Alley Social House in downtown South Bend announced it will permanently close on Saturday, May 16 (its last day of operation). Known for duckpin bowling and brick oven pizza, the venue opened in December a block away from Four Winds Field. ABC 57

- ➤ The History Museum is sharing South Bend Tribune excerpts that capture key local moments from May in past years, including a 1900 bicyclist's stunts, a 1926 school ranking, 1933 rain, a 1948 Bendix fire, and a 1968 softball win by firemen over police at Lincoln Park Diamond. South Bend Tribune
