- ➤ Today, dozens of protestors are gathering in Jon Hunt Memorial Plaza for the 'This Is Our Future Too!' rally organized by two John Adams High School sophomores who say defunded education and gun violence policies affect young people. South Bend Mayor James Mueller is in attendance—stressing that youth voices help create safe school environments—while organizers say any young person can make a difference. WSBT
- ➤ Veterans of Foreign Wars and Freedom Systems hosted the 4 Vets by Vets battle of the band event on Saturday in Goshen — three local bands competed for a cash prize while guests sampled food prepared by service branch representatives. - ➤ At approximately 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning, a South Bend officer saw a vehicle make an abrupt turn from Elwood Avenue onto Huey Street before it traveled onto Humboldt Street and crashed into a tree—officers found the driver pinned under the vehicle and he was later pronounced deceased. ABC 57
