- ➤ LaPorte Common Council approved Microsoft’s plan to build a second data center campus that will add 11 new buildings to the six under construction as the company works to boost local jobs and economic growth. Microsoft is hosting an open house in South Bend today for its separate Granger project. WNDU
- ➤ General Motors and Samsung have paused their EV battery plant project in New Carlisle, leaving local officials unsure when construction will resume. The development agreement still requires meeting job creation and building completion goals by December 2027. ABC 57
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ A $1,000 grant from Martin’s Super Markets will replace two broken ovens in Bremen High School’s food science and agriculture program for nearly 30 students who learn practical cooking skills — the funding comes as the school year ends. WNDU
- ➤ South Bend high school seniors returned on Monday to their former elementary and middle schools to walk the halls in caps and gowns while younger students cheered them on during the 2026 Graduation Walk—honoring their achievements and inspiring future graduates. WSBT
