- ➤ Today, the St. Joseph County VA in Granger hosted the 8th annual Memorial Day “Murph” workout—participants completed 100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 squats and two 1-mile runs. The event raises funds for the VA and has collected about $90,000 over eight years in memory of Michael Murphy, who died during Operation Red Wing in 2005. ABC 57

- ➤ A barn in Bourbon collapsed after a fire this afternoon on 9B road near U.S. 30; the call came in at 4:15 p.m.—Bourbon Township, Etna Township, and Tippecanoe fire departments responded to the scene—and officials are checking if anyone or any animals were hurt. WSBT

- ➤ Shamrock's Sports Bar is moving into an undeveloped space in The Ivy at Berlin Place — just by the entrance of Four Winds Field. Owners Josh Thompson and Jeremy Martin said the bar will include a full service kitchen and a 750 square foot event room, will break ground soon and open in September or October. WSBT

- ➤ Two people were injured in a shooting on South Meade St. just south of the South Bend Train Station and north of Western Avenue shortly before 9:30 p.m. Saturday night, and police are investigating the incident. WSBT

- ➤ Venue Parks and Arts will host its first Sneaker Art Competition for middle and high school students in the South Bend Community Corporation on Friday, June 6 from 5-7 p.m. at the Howard Park Event Center—students must submit their entries by May 30 and the top five winners in each group will earn a trip to the Indiana State Fair on August 16 to represent South Bend in a statewide contest.
