  • South Bend hosted its 100th West Side Memorial Day Parade Monday, drawing a large crowd to honor local veterans and remember their service. A mass held at St. Joseph Cemetery read the names of fallen veterans to mark the historic occasion.  WNDU

  • Notre Dame president Rev. Robert Dowd said Pope Leo XIV’s letter on artificial intelligence calls for tech decisions to start with protecting human dignity — as it marks the 135th anniversary of a church letter on workers’ rights, the university will use research and teaching to ensure technology serves everyone.  WNDU

  • Notre Dame lacrosse lost 16-9 to Princeton on Memorial Day in Charlottesville. The Irish led 3-0 early but fell behind when Princeton switched to a zone defense, and coach Kevin Corrigan said the team was outcoached in a season-ending NCAA title game.  South Bend Tribune
