South Bend hosted its 100th West Side Memorial Day Parade Monday, drawing a large crowd to honor local veterans and remember their service.
A mass held at St. Joseph Cemetery read the names of fallen veterans to mark the historic occasion.

Robert Dowd said Pope Leo XIV’s letter on artificial intelligence calls for tech decisions to start with protecting human dignity — as it marks the 135th anniversary of a church letter on workers’ rights, the university will use research and teaching to ensure technology serves everyone.
