- ➤ On Monday, Memorial Day, South Bend held its 99th West Side Memorial Day Parade where 482 veterans' names were read at Saint Joseph Cemetery to honor their service—organizers plan a special 100th parade next year and will begin meetings in January to set up the event. ABC 57
- ➤ On May26, the Mishawaka Memorial Day Parade honored veterans with a display of community spirit & ceremonial tributes that included military salutes, local marching bands, and civic groups. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ South Bend Police chased a stolen vehicle after a call from the 2700 block of Westmoor Street around 9:30 p.m.—the pursuit ended near Woodlawn Boulevard and Portage Avenue, where the suspect was arrested and taken to the Saint Joseph County Jail. ABC 57
