  • South Bend drivers face lane restrictions on Ireland Road, now reduced to one lane each direction (between Michigan Street and Ironwood Drive) as crews install new curbs and repair potholes; the work will continue until the end of June.  WSBT
  • South Bend Venues Parks and Arts kicked off Senior Spirit Week for older adults. Tuesday’s guided walk has ended while Wednesday’s senior picnic, Thursday’s pickleball and Friday’s drive-in movie are still available, with registration open for the latter two events.  WSBT

  • A Notre Dame theology professor explained that Pope Leo’s encyclical Magnifica Humanitas, released Monday, warns that artificial intelligence risks stem from concentrated control rather than the technology itself—calling for future regulations to better protect vulnerable communities.  WNDU
