- ➤ R Studio, a new creative production space for videographers, photographers, and content creators, will open on Monday, June 2nd at 12 p.m. (815 Lincoln Way West in South Bend) with a ribbon cutting led by Mayor Mueller and community tours, food, and music offered. ABC 57
- ➤ South Bend will host the 42nd annual Studebaker Swap Meet and Car Show on Friday, June 6 at the St. Joseph County Fairground at 5117 S. Ironwood Drive starting at 8 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. with the event returning on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. when car show judging is held at 11 a.m.—Indoor and outdoor vendors will sell cars, car parts, and memorabilia while the first 100 cars receive a dash plaque and three trophies in each class, and admission is $5 with free entry for children under 16. - ➤ Darden Elementary 3rd graders won South Bend’s Human Rights Commission poster contest for the second consecutive year and celebrated with a pizza party on Friday—their artwork on building bridges reflecting lessons learned in class was used to decorate luncheon tables and earned the school a trophy.
