- ➤ Bashor Children’s Home will host its annual Cars and Motorcycles for a Cause auto show on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 62226 C.R. 15 in Goshen—registration costs a $10 donation that supports local children who have suffered abuse or neglect—and vehicle enthusiasts can compete for custom trophies while enjoying live entertainment and food vendors. - ➤ The Indiana Department of Natural Resources urges South Bend anglers to fish free on public waters from June 7 to 8 as kids 17 and under fish without a license. - ➤ Mayor James Mueller and city leaders reopened the Ice Box today—upgrading the community rink with a third sheet of ice, a new lobby and a modern refrigeration system after a $12 million investment. - ➤ Sixty-five Indiana students have been selected and will compete in the National History Day contest at the University of Maryland, College Park from June 8—12. - ➤ The City of South Bend is in year 5 of its 10-year plan to replace old roads, and Mayor James Mueller (D) said streets that are 20 to 30 years old are now being replaced instead of waiting until they are 60 to 90 years old.
