- ➤ Today, a veterinarian and dog trainer led a training session at the South Bend USPS office on 424 S. Michigan St.—postal workers learned seven dog bite prevention tips to improve safety through live demos with a Belgian shepherd and hands-on practice. - ➤ The Midwest Continental Divide Trail project will host open houses this July to get community input on turning Saint Joseph County’s continental divide into an outdoor recreation and ecotourism destination. The sessions include Rum Village Nature Center on July 15 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. plus Lakeville Community Center on July 15 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., North Liberty Community Building on July 16 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. plus Indiana Dinosaur Museum on July 17 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and an online survey is available for those who cannot attend.
