- ➤ Steven Haines, a 30-year veteran arts leader, was named the new executive director of the South Bend Symphony Orchestra after unanimous approval from its search and executive committees. - ➤ Portage Township announced a partnership with Matthys Little League to renovate and re-open the historic Matthys Park that has served local families since 1955. - ➤ The St. Joseph County Redevelopment Commission voted to advance plans for major road improvements near the expanding Amazon data center campus in New Carlisle — the project includes a diamond-style interchange at SR2 and Larrison Boulevard and a new connecting road for better traffic flow.
