Seitz Park reopened on Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that reinstalled the Firefighters Memorial — the park now offers a pavilion, river lights, bathrooms and a concession building while a rededication ceremony for the memorial is planned.

Seitz Park officially reopened tonight with renovations including a new concession stand, concert stage and raised riverwalk—marked by a ribbon cutting that honored longtime parks superintendent Jim Seitz’s legacy.

James Seitz said the park will host concerts every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to welcome people of all ages.
