- ➤ Several local community groups will host meals this week, offering varied events such as a Thursday burger night at Galien American Legion Post 344, Friday fish and chicken frys in Mishawaka and South Bend, a Saturday pancake breakfast in Galien, a downtown wine walk on Sept.10, and an all you can eat fry on Sept.13—prices and menus vary by venue with options for dine-in or carryout. - ➤ Food Bank of Northern Indiana is hosting drive-through mobile pantries starting today at Mentone and South Bend—food is available on a first-come, first-served basis at several sites until Sept. 25. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Six Notre Dame students were hit by a vehicle while walking on a crosswalk outside Holy Cross College around 5:15 on Monday night—three were taken to Memorial Hospital with minor injuries as police investigate the incident. WSBT
