- ➤ The March to the Memorial took place Thursday in South Bend to honor 9/11 victims using a 21 mile route that began near Martin's at Erskine Plaza and ended at St. Patrick's Park—where the annual Ringing of the Bell ceremony occurred. WSBT
- ➤ On Sept. 10, participants climbed 110 flights of stairs at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend to honor firefighters—first responders to the 9/11 attack. The event brought the community together as they celebrated these local heroes. South Bend Tribune
- ➤ Allie, a brown and white Pit Bull Terrier mix aged 1½, is available for adoption at South Bend Animal Resource Center—her previous owner did not reclaim her—and she thrives in active homes with children and other dogs but needs careful introductions with cats. South Bend Tribune

- ➤ Macy Gunnell, president of Turning Point USA’s Saint Mary’s chapter and a South Bend student, expressed deep sorrow over Charlie Kirk’s murder in Utah—she urged political change and will push for chapter recognition as a vigil with enhanced security is planned for today at 6 p.m. at Nfluence Church in Granger. - ➤ Westview School Corporation accepted former superintendent Randall Miller's resignation after his arrest for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated — the board named Dr. Randall Zimmerly as interim superintendent and will hire a new leader by January. WSBT
