- ➤ Fusion Fest is a weekend-long event in South Bend that hosts about 100 food and craft vendors and is expected to draw over 35,000 visitors. Miranda Bueno—owner of M.E.X Snacks who began selling fruit cups from a cooler seven years ago—now brings her business to the festival with the support of family while planning to expand into a concession trailer. - ➤ Meta has proposed a $12 billion data center near New Carlisle—located between Timothy and Walnut Roads and opposite the planned Amazon facility—while county officials postponed the rezoning vote to give Meta more time to meet with local residents. - ➤ South Bend Community School Corporation will host a job fair on Monday, Sept 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Brown Administration Building — 737 Beale St. — to recruit teachers, paraprofessionals, bus drivers, custodians and clerical staff as officials work to boost recruitment. - ➤ Mishawaka High is one of 25 finalists in the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights contest—fans can vote once per day until Oct. 24 while the school receives $25,000 now and may win $1 million for a football stadium upgrade; the contest winner will be announced on Oct. 30. South Bend Tribune

- ➤ Mishawaka officials said that part of Lincoln Way East near the high school will close for two months starting Tuesday—closing the intersection with Laurel Street until the end of November—as part of phase three of a 10-year sewer project, and drivers should follow detours on McKinley Street via Church Street or Main Street while Transpo plans new bus routes.
