COMMUNITY NEWS

  • South Bend will offer overnight warming shelters during the cold months. The centers include the Center for the Homeless (open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from November 1 to April 30), Hope Ministries (open Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.), and United Way OneRoof (open Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) with updates on more locations coming.  WSBT
  • Baby Girl is a 3-year-old dog at the South Bend Animal Resource Center who has been in the shelter for about a month and is now ready for a new home. The energetic dog—admired for her gorgeous caramel coloring and friendly nature with kids, cats, and other dogs—is waiting for a family to love her.  WSBT
