  • On Nov. 18, 1924, South Bend was blanketed with heavy snowfall and fog — the temperature dropped to 19 degrees, setting a new record low. The History Museum shares newspaper excerpts that show how the early winter chill surprised local residents.  South Bend Tribune

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The city of South Bend launched a digital time capsule yesterday that lets residents share photos, recordings, and letters about local life — submissions must include a first name and location and are due by December 15 — and the project will be live by the end of the year.  WSBT

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Sunday, Notre Dame lost to Ohio State 64-63 after a final three-point attempt by Markus Burton missed its mark. The team built two 11-point leads during the game and said it will work to improve its closing performance in future contests.  South Bend Tribune
