- ➤ County leaders Derek Dieter and Steve Sass said Tuesday that they plan to work with St. Thomas More Academy to have a school move into Portage Manor while preserving the site's 90 acres for public use—County Commissioners will consider a management plan to outline the next steps. This effort follows last week’s Council vote in favor of the proposal. WSBT
- ➤ South Bend reopened Mishawaka Avenue after a months-long streetscape project that added new sidewalks, curbs, lighting, underground utilities, and a raised intersection—key updates that improved safety for pedestrians and drivers. Local business owners noted that the upgrades helped reduce traffic dangers after a ribbon cutting on Tuesday. WSBT

- ➤ HealthLinc received American Heart Association Gold recognition for its type 2 diabetes care as the disease affects many local families.
