- ➤ A new stop light is being installed across from Mishawaka Fire Station 3 on Douglas Road to improve safety for both drivers and the fire department— the signal changes only when vehicles pull out from the station. WSBT
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Concord football ended its season on Friday with a 41-14 loss to Merrillville in the Class 5A semi-state championship when fumbles and turnovers let Merrillville score many points. The team finished 11-2 and won its first regional title since 2013 while coach Craig Koehler said the season showed the players how to push through tough times. South Bend Tribune
- ➤ Notre Dame football will miss starting safety Tae Johnson for its Senior Day game against Syracuse because he hurt his left hand in practice—he had not been on injury reports before. Virginia Tech transfer Jalen Stroman and former walk-on Luke Talich will get more playing time—strengthening the team’s lineup for the match. South Bend Tribune
