  • The South Bend area offers many family-friendly holiday events from today through Dec. 7, 2025 featuring light shows, musical productions and festive markets — events held in venues like local theaters and community parks.   • On Sunday, November 30, many kids enjoyed snow tubing at George Wilson Park in Mishawaka amid wintry weather. The 54 acre park charges $4 per person and rents tubes for $3 — weather permitting — and has rolling hills with scenic views.  WSBT

  • South Bend Alumni Association and South Bend Education Foundation merged to form South Bend Education Alliance to support students, teachers and school programs. Today, Operation Education looks at the merger's effects on classroom and extracurricular activities plus community involvement in South Bend.  WSBT

  • Marley is a playful one-year-old dog at the South Bend Animal Resource Center who came in as a stray and is ready to go to a new home for the holiday season — he loves playing with toys and greeting people but is not good with cats.  WSBT

  • The South Bend Tribune has opened its Athlete of the Week poll for local sports fans to vote on nominees from November 24 to 29 and voting will remain open until December 4 at 11:59 p.m.—nominees include top performers in swimming and basketball.  South Bend Tribune
  • Notre Dame football beat Stanford 49-20 to extend its winning streak to 10 games by double-digit wins — the team stayed at No. 9 in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll. Coach Marcus Freeman said his team plays as well as any in the nation and awaits Tuesday's College Football Playoff ranking update.  South Bend Tribune
  • Notre Dame basketball will host Missouri in the ACC/SEC Challenge tomorrow at 9 p.m. at Purcell Pavilion—this game will begin a stretch of four home contests and marks the first time the program hosts this marquee non-conference event after prior losses on the road.  South Bend Tribune
  • Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman defended his choice to use backups in big wins—saying they get valuable game time. He said that running up the score is not needed and that his plan helps the team get ready for future games—despite other teams scoring late to change rankings.  South Bend Tribune
