- ➤ South Bend police arrested 39-year-old Brandon Hughes on Monday after shots fired just before 10:30 p.m. near the Phillips 66 gas station on Portage Road injured a man with non-life-threatening injuries, and a car crash was also reported. WSBT

- ➤ Downtown South Bend will see record investment with more than $1 billion in new projects planned near Four Winds Field. The developments include affordable apartments, restaurants and coworking spaces — a boost that officials say will bring jobs and a fresh look to the area. ABC 57
